A neurologist and neuroscientist, Jochen serves as the FNR-PEARL Chair of Digital Medicine and leads the Digital Medicine research group at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine of the University of Luxembourg. His research focuses on developing personalized digital healthcare solutions and evaluating the medico-economic impact of digital health interventions.

Jochen is actively involved in shaping the future of digital healthcare. He co-leads the EU taskforce for harmonized evaluation of digital medical devices, emphasizing innovative clinical evaluation frameworks and regulatory processes.

Jochen earned his medical degree from the University of Regensburg in 1996 and completed his habilitation in neuroscience in 2009, focusing on neurodegeneration in Parkinson’s disease.
